NSI gets new chief

Major General Md Shamsul Haque has been appointed director general of the National Security Intelligence (NSI). He will replace Brigadier General (Retired) Monzur Ahmed as the head of the civil intelligence agency. Monzur Ahmed's contract was twice extended after his appointment on May 16, 2009. Maj Gen Shamsul Haque had been the chairman of the Sena Kalyan Sangstha from May 19 last year, bdnews24.com says quoting a circular issued on Tuesday.
