NSI man killed in city road crash

A member of the National Security Intelligence (NSI) was killed in a road accident in the capital Saturday morning. The deceased was identified as Abdus Sattar, 50, a junior field officer of the city external operation branch of the NSI. He hailed from Boalkhali village under Sirajdikhan upazila of Munsiganj.  Witnesses said Sattar was critically injured as a bus hit him while he was crossing the road in front of the National Press Club about 9:00 am. Soon after the accident, a Sub-Inspector of Shahbagh police station rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the attending doctor declared him dead.    
Later, a group of pedestrians and passengers seized the bus, caught its driver Babul Molla, 25, and handed over him to the police. A case was filed with Shahbagh police station in this connection, SI Sirajul Islam of the police station told the FE.  FE Report
