NSU gets Tk 520m consortium loan from six banks

North South University (NSU), the first private university in Bangladesh, signed an agreement with six leading banks for providing Taka 520 million (52 crore) consortium loan to the university Sunday night, reports BSS.
Vice-Chancellor of the university Dr Hafiz GA Siddiqui and top executives of Janata Bank, Sonali Bank, Agrani Bank, Dutch- Bangla Bank, South East Bank and NCC Bank signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides at Radisson Water Garden Hotel in the city, a press release said Monday.
Chairman of North South University Foundation M A Awal, VC Dr Hafiz GA Siddiqui, Managing Director of Janata Bank Aminur Rahman, Managing Director of Sonali Bank SA Chowdhury, Managing Director of Agrani Bank Syed Abu Naser, Managing Director of Dutch Bangla Bank Yasin Ali, Managing Director of South East Bank Niaz Ahmed and Managing Director of NCC Bank Nurul Amin, among others, spoke on the occasion.
Dr Siddiqui in his speech thanked the authorities of the banks for providing the loan for the development of the university campus.
