Ntv concert permission cancelled in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Dec 31: The law enforcement agencies have cancelled permission given to the Ntv to stage a concert programme today at Chittagong on the occasion of celebrating the 31st December.
Officials at the City SB (City SB) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police said the permission to hold open air concert titled AKS Steel Dhamaka at the MA Aziz Stadium has been cancelled.
Assistant Commissioner of City Special Branch Md Mesbah Uddin Ahmed has said the permission given earlier to hold an open air concert at MA Aziz Stadium has been cancelled.
The Ntv, a private TV channel of the country, organised the open air concert for tonight. Chittagong Bureau of the channel said it has received a cancellation letter from the City SB this afternoon. So today's programme at the stadium will not take place.
The programme was initially scheduled to take place at the Cox's Bazar Sea Beach today. But the organizers later shifted the same to Chittagong MA Aziz Stadium. Noted national singers and some band groups were scheduled to perform at the concert.
