NU beat ULAB in Pvt Varsity Football

Northern University (NU) makes a good start in Mentors' Inter-Private University Football Tournament beating University of Liberal Arts-Bangladesh (ULAB) 1-0 in the opening match at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamlapur Tuesday, reports UNB.
Rubel scored the match-winner for Northern University in the 12th minute and was adjudged best player of the match.
In the other opening-day match, International University of Business, Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) defeated Independent University-Bangladesh (IUB), also by 1-0 goal at the same venue in the afternoon.
Sohel Rana scored the all-important goal for IUBAT in the 68th minute.
Earlier, Vice President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Shawkat Ali Khan Jahangir inaugurated the meet, organized by Mentors Education with the support from Bangladesh Football Federation. BFF general secretary Al Mosabbir Saadi and tournament committee chairman Towfiquzzaman Chowdhury Rony were present.
