NU, RUET teams call on President

A delegation of National University (NU), led by its Vicec-chancellor Prof Dr Harun-or-Rashid made a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban Thursday, reports UNB.
During the meeting, the delegation apprised the President of various activities of the university.
They told the President that there are 2,000 colleges, 1.5 million students and 60,000 teachers under the NU.
The delegation also informed the President that the university authority has taken initiative to remove session jam.
Earlier, a delegation of Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), led by its VC Prof Dr Md Rafiqul Alam Beg, made a courtesy call on the President at Bangabhaban.
The delegation discussed with the President about the 4th convocation of the university which is expected to be held in November.
