Nuisance of aggressive telemarketing

A wide range of products is now offered through telemarketing. However, in most cases, it causes nothing but a disturbance to mobile phone users. These calls are made at any time of the day caring little about our privacy. It does not matter to the telemarketers whether we are busy in a meeting or, taking rest after a hectic day or, simply enjoying some personal time with family. Their texts and calls start invading our phones asking if we are interested to buy cheaper eggs, water purifier or others. With due respect to the telemarketing business owners, I request them to understand that this is at times extremely annoying. It is also a violation of our privacy.
People not only lose precious time, it also hurts them mentally. It is unfair for the operators to allow such calls. Therefore, I urge the BTRC (Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission) authorities to take some measures against the aggressive telemarketers since they are damaging our peace of life. They should adopt a mechanism so that this unwanted telemarketing messages stop invading our privacy.
