Nur Hossain\\\'s driver arrested in Noakhali

The driver of Narayanganj city councillor Nur Hossain, the prime accused in 7-murder case, has been arrested from Noakhali. Chairman of Rasulpur Union Parishad (UP) Nurul Amin said on Saturday that the driver Mahiullah Nayan was nabbed along with his brother-in-law Ferdous Quareshi Samrat by the members of Detective Branch (DB) of police. The local police, however, said they were not aware of any such arrest. The investigating officer (IO) of the Narayanganj 7-murder case was not immediately available for comment. Narayanganj DB police’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mamunur Rashid Mondol is handling the case. Police have so far, detained 18 people over the murders of Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) panel mayor Nazrul Islam, senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarkar and five others. According to the UP chairman, Mahiullah and his brother-in-law were arrested from the house of Siraj Miah, father-in-law of Mahiullah, at North Lautali village at Rasulpur under Begumganj Police Station, according to bdnews24.com.
