Nur\\\'s assets, weapon, wildlife seized

Police have seized all movable property, a loaded gun and some exotic birds in a raid on the house of Narayanganj City Corporation’s Ward 4 Councillor Nur Hossain, the prime accused in the 7-murder case, following a court order. Police went to Nur Hossain’s home at Tekparha at Shimrail around 3pm on Thursday and the raid continued till evening. A large number of policemen, under district Executive Magistrate Abul Kashem Md Shahin, carried out the raid. Magistrate Kashem said the raid went on until 7pm. He said two LCD TVs, five TVs, two refrigerators, three almirahs, two sets of sofa, 10 chairs, a shelf and some sport accessories were seized from the home. “We also seized two rare macaws and a deer hide and a loaded revolver. The birds were handed over to the wildlife department,” he said. Kashem said there were three buildings in the compound. No one was present at the home during the raid, according to a news agency.
