Nur\\\'s \\\'girlfriend\\\' held in another killing case

Police have arrested Jannatul Ferdous Neela, reportedly a girlfriend of Nur Hossain, the main accused in Narayanganj 7-murder case, in another case of killing. Neela was held on Sunday night from her house in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj. That followed confessional statement of two persons nabbed in a murder case last year, Siddhirganj Police Station OC Md Alauddin said. Police arrested Sohag and Mona for the murder. The two said Neela was involved in the killing. ‘Neela was arrested from her house last night (Sunday) after they revealed her involvement in the murder,’ Alauddin said on Monday. Police produced Neela in a magistrate’s court in Narayanganj city on Monday afternoon. Magistrate Jabir Hossain granted police three days to interrogate her. Earlier Neela, a Narayanganj reserved seat councilor, was being questioned by a committee formed to probe the seven murders. Nur Hossain, who is the prime suspect of killing the seven men, is the vice president of Siddhirganj Thana unit of Awami League, according to a news agency.
