Nuru Mia Gold Cup football begins June 26

FARIDPUR, Jun 4 (BSS): Khandker Nurul Hossain Nuru Mia Gold Cup Football Tournament organised by Faridpur District Sports Association (FDSA), the biggest ever football extravaganza, will begin here at the local stadium on June 26.
Premiere Bank Ltd is sponsoring the tournament while ATN Bangla is the media partner of the grand football festival.
A total of 20 teams from Dkaka, Gazipur, Narshingdi, Munshiganj, Narayanganj, Manikganj and all the district teams of southern Bengal, including hosts Faridpur, have made entries to participate in the tournament.
The matches will be played on knockout system. The organisers will bear the costs of transportation, accommodation and other expenses of the participating teams.
The winning team in the final match will receive a gold cup with a prize money of Tk 500,000.00 while the runners up team will receive a cup and prize money of Tk 200,000.00.
