NY snowstorm kills 8

A massive snowstorm stranded motorists, cancelled flights and left at least eight people dead in the northeastern United States, officials said Wednesday.
Another 3ft (1m) of snow is expected to hit parts of north-eastern US, reports agencies.
Weather-related deaths were also reported in New Hampshire and Michigan.
Parts of the city of Buffalo are already under 5ft of snow. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo called the snowstorm a "historic event".
The deadly storm may see as much as another three feet (90 centimeters) of snowfall Thursday, which could prompt a federal disaster declaration, official said.
John Jiloty of East Aurora near Buffalo said that some people had been stuck in their cars for a day and a half.
Train services in parts of New York state was suspended on Wednesday, while long stretches of road near Buffalo were closed.
As well as the fatalities in New York, there were two other weather-related deaths reported in New Hampshire and Michigan.
About 20 people have died across the US since Saturday.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh neighbourhood is about five miles away from the US snowstorm affected county city Buffalo, the foreign ministry has said, assuring that no Bangladesh nationals has been harmed.
Around 2,000 Bangladeshis live in Buffalo, it said in a statement Thursday.
