N’ganj tragedy: HC orders for further reports by July 9

The High Court on Wednesday ordered police, RAB and 7-member probe body to submit to it by July 9 their further progress reports on investigation into the Narayanganj 7-murder. Passing the order, the HC bench of Justice Md Rezaul Haque and Justice Gobinda Chandra Tagore asked the three probe panels to submit before it the final investigation report (if it is completed) with recommendations within the period. Earlier, Attorney General Mahbube Alam placed before the court four progress reports submitted by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the director general of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police and the 7-member enquiry committee formed at the directives of the HC to investigate the sensational 7 murders, according to a news agency.
