Oasis Transformation starts production at Uttara EPZ

NILPHAMARI, Aug 10: Oasis Transformation Ltd went into production last month at Uttara Export Processing Zone.
It is the fourth enterprise to begin production in the industrial zone.
The UK-based entrepreneurs of the unit invested US$ 0.53 million to produce bamboo-made mates and coffin for exporting them mainly to UK.
The manufacturers use especial variety of bamboo locally called 'tallo' in making the materials and they collect the bamboos from some contract growers of the locality.
There are 35 personnel working in the factory and the number would increase gradually, the company sources said.
