Bangladesh Awami League (AL) joint general secretary Obaidul Kader, now in New Delhi for treatment, requested the government to release his bank accounts which were seized after his arrest on corruption charges, reports UNB.
Kader's lawyer Advocate AKM Aminuddin said his client has found it very difficult to bear his treatment expenses, as he was not allowed to draw money from his account in Standard Chartered Bank, Dhanmondi Branch and Sonali Bank, Ramna Branch.
Since arrival in Delhi on September 29, the former State Minister has been undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospitals.
The Lawyer said eight splinters were removed from Kader's body on October 2 and on October 9 he had undergone piles operation.
