Obaidul orders end to haphazard vehicle parking

Communications Minister Obaidul Quader asked Wednesday the authorities concerned to take necessary steps to stop haphazard parking of vehicles on roads for unimpeded vehicular movement ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, according to a news agency.
The communication boss came up with the directive while visiting the traffic situation at Jatrabari intersection in the city.
During the visit, Obaidul also ordered the authorities concerned to repair potholes under the Jatrabari Flyover by next five days and clean garbage and fill small holes at the entrance of Jatrabari-Mawa road by 10 days.
He also directed to repair the small holes at the entrance point of Sayedabad Bus Terminal, a release said.
Dhaka South City Corporation administrator Mohammad Ibrahim Hossain Khan, Dhaka Wasa representatives and high officials of Traffic police accompanied the minister during his visit.
