Obaidul Quader's so-called foster son Hiru lands in jail

A Dhaka court on Thursday sent to jail Asaduzzaman Hiru, so called foster son of Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader, in a case lodged over murder of one Toufikul Islam Bhuiyan during the anti-discrimination student movement, reports BSS.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sefatullah passed the order as police produced Hiru before the court and pleaded to keep him behind the bars. Hiru was arrested from the city's Gulshan area on Jan 15.
Pedestrian Toufikul Islam Bhuiyan, 43, got shot in front of Badda Buddhist Temple on July 19.
