Obaidul stresses formalin-free politics

Describing corruption, terrorism and militancy as the formalin of politics, Communications Minister Obaidul Quader on Thursday said it is not only the foodstuff but also the politicians should be free from formalin. “Our politicians are doing politics being contaminated with formalin. They’ve to do formalin-free politics,” he said while addressing a function organised in New Market area to declare ‘Banalata Kitchen Market as formalin-free one. The kitchen market was declared formalin-free at the initiative of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI). Urging the politicians to exercise formalin-free pure politics, the minister said, “Corrupt politics are as harmful as mixing formalin in food items.” Obaidul also said those who are in the government have to be free from corruption, according to a news agency.
