Obama's healthcare policy

Thursday, 17 September 2009

AFTER winning such a huge victory, Barak Obama, the US President is experiencing the other side of the music. Some of 20 to 30 thousand people came out against the pro-poor healthcare policy Obama administration wants to adopt. Obviously supporters of the Republican Party, they sought to depict Obama as a communist or a Marxist for pressing healthcare for all. According to reports at least 0.25 billion American citizens cannot afford healthcare.
There was nothing new in the attitude of the Republicans to portray Obama the way they did once again to distract public attention from the real issue. What a protest against a man trying to serve humanity?
Obama made it clear that he will not be distracted by such protests against the policy. His bold attitude deserves support. We should keep in mind that serving the poor does not mean someone is a communist.
