Obscenities galore
Tuesday, 7 December 2010
Obscenity in leaflets, walls and transports is now noticed not only in the capital city, but also in several district towns. Various kinds of leaflets and handbills containing slang language and obscene photographs are being distributed by street kids and burkha-clad women to passers-by on the streets. Leaflets and handbills advertising aphrodisiac potions are often dropped on the laps of transport passengers and handed to pedestrians to their embarrassment when accompanied by their relatives. The canvassers' activities are noticed mostly during traffic jam. Vulgar language and obscene drawings are also noticed on the back of passenger-bus seats and boggies of trains. Unscrupulous people are employing these people to carry out their illicit business. The government should look into the matter soon.
