OC closed for delay in taking case in Bhola

BHOLA, July 31 (UNB): Officer-in-charge of Lalmohan police station Abdul Majid Shikder was closed Monday night for his delay in taking a case of an acid victim.
The police sources said Harun of Fulbagicha village suffered burn injuries in an acid attack allegedly by his rivals over a land dispute Sunday night.
When Harun went to the police station Monday morning to file a case, the OC did not record the case till the evening and reportedly misbehaved with him.
Later, Harun informed senior police officials of the district about the matter.
The local police administration then closed Abdul Majid Shikder to the district police lines and formed a 3-member probe committee to investigate the incident.
