The officer-in-charge (OC) of Pabna’s Ataikula Police Station has been removed following the brutal killing of five local Awami League and Jobo League activists in an attack at a local market. OC Akram Hossain has been removed from his duties on Tuesday night, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Pabna district Miraz Uddin Ahmed said. A gang of miscreants swooped on seven local AL and Jubo League leaders and workers. The attackers first indiscriminately chopped them, and then, shot them one after another to confirm the death in broad day light on Saturday at Pushpapara Bazaar at Atailula, just 15 km away from Pabna town, according to a news agency.
