OC removed from Khilgaon after deadly shooting at Goran

The OC of Khilgaon Police Station has been withdrawn after unknown assailants shot dead a man, wounded his father and fled with Tk 4.8 million in Goran on Thursday evening. Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Deputy Commissioner Md Ashrafuzzaman said the order to withdraw Md Sirajul Islam Sheikh was taken on Friday morning. Sharif Hossain Samiul, 28, and his father Israil Hossain, 58, were attacked near Goran Fire Service station as they were walking to their home. Israil was shot in both legs and an arm. Samiul took a shot in the chest. The latter was declared dead on arrival at the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital. The family said the assailants had snatched Tk 4.8 million Samiul was carrying during the attack, according to bdnews24.com.
