Office hours for banks during Ramadan

The Bangladesh Bank (BB) has announced the office hours of all scheduled banks during the ensuing holy month of Ramadan, a central bank press release said. The BB release said all scheduled banks will remain open from 9:30 am to 4.00 pm from Sunday to Thursday including the prayer break from 1.15 pm to 1.30 pm. The transaction hours will be from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm. The central bank issued a circular in this connection on Monday and asked the chief executives of all banks to follow the changed office hours during Ramadan. During the prayer break, transactions will be done through internal coordination as was done before Ramadan, the circular said. The weekly holiday would be Friday and Saturday. The office and the transaction hours of the banks would be followed as before after the holy Ramadan, the BB release added, according to BSS.
