Office timing reset for Ramadan

Office hours for the month of Ramadan have been re-fixed from 9:00am to 3:30pm with a 15-minute break for Zohr Namaj (mid day prayer) from 1:15pm to 1:30pm for government, semi-govt., autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, institutions and offices. The cabinet at its regular weekly meeting held on Monday with Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina in the chair, reset the new office timing. However, the Supreme Court, banks, insurance companies, the offices of Bangladesh Railway, post offices and other such organisations will fix their own timetable for the Holy month of Ramadanaccording to their own rules and regulations, the meeting decided. The Cabinet meeting was held in the afternoon at the Secretariat, according to a news agency.
