Official uniform of BGB members approved

The government has approved the official uniform of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members, reports BSS.
From now on, the BGB personnel will use the new uniform side by side with their combat dress, said a BGB release issued today.
The new uniform for BGB members has been introduced under section 136 of the BGB Act-2010.
The changed uniform will be light brown shirt and deep brown pants.
The new uniform would be distributed to all BGB offices in the country in phases, said the release.
But, it said, BGB members posted to border outposts (BOPs) at frontier areas and performing other operational duty will wear the existing combat uniform.
Contacted, BGB Public Relations Officer Mohammad Mohsin Reza said the order came into effect on February 13, 2012.
