Officials asked to gear up uplift activities

Information Minister Abul Kalam Azad Tuesday stressed the need for stepping up development activities to build Bangladesh as a happy and prosperous country, reports BSS.
"We will have to be more active to build a happy and prosperous Bangladesh and we have to do our jobs ourselves," he said while presiding over a meeting to review the progress of the Annual Development Pro-gramme (ADP) in March.
The meeting held in the conference room of the ministry reviewed nine projects being implemented by the Information Ministry, an official handout said. The Information Minister said all works could be done smoothly 'if we perform our responsibilities timely." From now on, he said, work will be carried out for the next generation keeping in mind the future plan. Azad directed all concerned to complete the work of the projects in stipulated time.
