Oil dips in Asia

SINGAPORE, May 16 (Commodity Online): Global oil prices eased in Asian trade Monday after the dollar strengthened while concerns over US economic conditions also dented oil's recovery.
Light sweet crude for June delivery was seen trading at $98.76 a barrel at noon Singapore time while Brent crude was at $113.36 a barrel in London.
Analysts said the dollar continued to climb against the euro as it fell to $1.4089 from $1.4110 late Friday. The euro reached $1.49 earlier this month.
Crude became more expensive for investors with other currencies due to the existing condition, analysts added.
