Oil spill spells disaster for Sundarbans

The flora and fauna of the Sundarbans and its ecology are in danger as the furnace oil from a sunken oil tanker in a river of the word’s largest mangrove forest continues to spill over fresh areas since the authorities failed to come up with effective steps to stop the spread of the oil, according to a news agency.
