Oil tanker catches fire in Tejgaon

A tank lorry (oil tanker) caught fire in Tejgaon Industrial Area in the city on Sunday causing a series of explosions. Several fire fighting units are working to douse the blaze at Tibet Intersection in the evening. Police said the oil-laden lorry caught fire at a petrol pump in Tejgaon area on Sunday evening. Sources at the Fire Service Central Control Room said the lorry went up in flames near 'Satata Petrol Pump' around 6:55pm. On information, eight firefighting units rushed to the spot from different fire stations in the city, according to a news agency.
