Old man chopped dead in Magura

A septuagenarian man was chopped to death at Mohammadpur Upazila in Magura district on Wednesday. The dead is Alek Sardar, 70, of Raipur village. Police said a gang of local miscreants called Alek out of his house at Raipur while he was sleeping around 1:00am. The miscreants attacked him with sharp weapons. They indiscriminately hacked him, leaving him dead on the spot. Beiung informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Magura Sadar Hospital for autopsy, according to a news agency.
