Old man dies in Habiganj road accident

HABIGANJ, June 18 (UNB): An elderly man was killed as a CNG-run auto-rickshaw ran over him at Amtali on the Habiganj-Shayestaganj road in Sadar upazila on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Hirendra Chandra Gop (75), a resident of Shialdaria village of the upazila.
Witnesses said a Shayestaganj-bound CNG-run auto-rickshaw carrying passengers ran over Herandra in the area while he was crossing the road at about 9:00 am, leaving him dead on the spot.
Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Habiganj Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
