Old man killed in Satkhira clash

SATKHIRA, Aug 31 (UNB): A sexagenarian man, who was injured in a clash between two groups at Bongshipur village in Shyamnagar upazila on Saturday afternoon, died at Satkhira Sadar Hospital on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Ahadullah Gazi, 70, a resident of the village.
Police said an altercation took place between the two groups over fishing in Jamuna canal of the village on Saturday afternoon.
Later, both the groups equipped with lethal weapons attacked each other, leaving Ahadullah critically injured.
He was first admitted to the Upazila Health Complex and then shifted to Satkhira Sadar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 10:00 am on Sunday.
