Wednesday, 14 November 2007

Oman is keen to invest in fertiliser production in Bangladesh, said FBCCI President Mir Nasir Hossain after his three-day visit to explore the economic and trade opportunities available in Oman, reports bdnews24.com.
Hossain said, the south-west Asian country also wanted to import skilled and semi-skilled manpower from Bangladesh.
"We can provide them with trained and skilled workforce, including doctors, engineers and teachers. We've also asked the Omani investors to take the immense potential in Bangladesh's power and pharmaceutical sectors," he added.
The FBCCI president led a 27-member business delegation that held talks with the government officials and private sector entrepreneurs in Oman. He also explained the workings of the country's manufacturing sector to them.
This is the first-ever Bangladeshi trade delegation to visit Oman following the establishment of diplomatic relations 25 years ago.
