OMS of rice starts today

The government starts selling rice countrywide under its Open Market Sale (OMS) scheme from today (Monday) to keep rice price within reach during Ramadan. "Through OMS programme 1.18 lakh tonnes of rice will be sold in 64 districts of the country. The programme will run through to October 11," acting food secretary Dhiraj Kumar Malakar Sunday said. — bdnews24.com
