The on-board digital mobile TV sales will grow on the tails of China's expanding automobile consumption market.
The on-board LCD TV industry currently faces problems like a lack of uniform management standards, low customer recognition of domestic brands and simplistic business operation models, said experts. Enterprises should be cautious in expansion.
Shanghai first broadcasted on-board TV in October of 2002, followed by Beijing and Tianjin. Currently, China's on-board mobile TV market mainly focuses on mass transit vehicles and taxies.
China's on-board mobile TV market is small and lacks uniform industry management standards, said Li Shuchong, general manager of Semiconductor Industry Research Center of CCID Consulting Co Ltd, which is affiliated to China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID).
The relevant government departments will formulate corresponding standards to standardize the market order following the market development, said Li.
