On-duty cop killed in road crash

An on-duty police officer has been killed in a road accident at Karimpur police outpost, 12 kilomtres from Faridpur town. The dead is Zainul Abedin, 45, an Assistant Town Sub Inspector (SI). Zainul Abedin was checking the documents (papers) of a vehicle standing on the side of Dhaka-Khulna highway in Faridpur Sadar Upazila. Another vehicle (bus) knocked him in front of Karimpur police outpost leaving him dead on the spot on Monday, according to a news agency.
