One chopped dead in Gopalganj

Miscreants chopped to death an old man at Haji Bari in Bamondanga village under Moksudpur upazila in Gopalganj district on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Sarwar Jahan Mollah, 55, hailed from Bamondanga village under Gohala union of the upazila. Police and family members said they can't say who are involved in this brutal killing. Chairman of Gohala union parishad Shafiqul Islam said a group of miscreants entered his house breaking the door early this morning. Miscreants brutally chopped and injured Sarwar Jahan when he identified them. Miscreant fled away from the spot when inmates raised hue and cry. After the incident local people admitted him to Rajoir Upazila Health Complex. Later he was transferred to Faridpur Medical College Hospital where his condition deteriorated. Sarwar Jahan Mollah succumbed to his injury on way to Faridpur Medical College hospital, according to BSS.
