One chopped dead in Mymensingh

A man was chopped to death allegedly by his uncle at Bororchar-Mridhapara village under Mymensingh Sadar upazila on Wednesday. The victim was identified as Emdadul Haque, 30, son of Rajab Ali of the village. Police said Emdadul locked into altercation with his uncle Mannan over family matters at Bororchar-Mridhapara at night. At one stage Mannan picked up a sharp weapon and hacked Emdadul indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot. Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Sub-inspector of Kotwali Police Station Ataur Rahman confirmed the incident, saying the body has been sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) for autopsy, according to a news agency.
