One chopped to death in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Jun 14 (BSS): Nephew chopped to death by his maternal uncle at Kismat Bagura village in Durgapur upazila of the district today.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Mannan, 39. His wife Kolpona Khatun and son-in-law Delwar Hossain were also injured in the same attack, said Saiful Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Durgapur Police Station.
The OC said Abdul Mannan had a long-standing quarrel with his uncle Abdus Sattar over a piece of disputed land. As sequel to the conflict, Abdus Sattar along with his family members armed with lethal weapons attacked on Abdul Mannan and his wife Kolpona Khatun and Son-in-Law Delwar Hossain when they appeared on the land at around 9.30 am. They chopped them with sharp weapons indiscriminately causing instant death of Mannan.
