One dengue patient dies, 280 hospitalised

One dengue patient has died and 280 others have been hospitalised across the country in the last 24 hours till Wednesday, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new cases, 66 were reported in Barishal Division – outside city corporation (CC) areas – 45 in Chattogram Division (outside CC), 44 in Dhaka Division (outside CC), 24 in Dhaka North, 30 in Dhaka South, 39 in Rajshahi Division (outside CC), 25 in Khulna Division (outside CC), one in Mymensingh Division (outside CC), and four in Rangpur Division (outside CC).
Meanwhile, only three new COVID-19 cases were detected during the same 24-hour period, with no deaths reported.
