One died of food poisoning, 59 fell ill

KHULNA, May 18 (UNB): A woman died of food poisoning while 59 guests fell ill Monday night after taking food at a religious programme at Angardaha village in Dumuria Upazila of the district.
The deceased was identified as Subhadra (52), mother of Krishna Das, the organiser of the programme.
Of the sick, 29 were admitted to Dumuria Health Complex and another 30 given treatment locally by a medical team.
