One dies in Jhenaidah crash

One person has died and at least five have been injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a three-wheeler in Jhenaidah, police say. The accident took place at Kaliganj Upazila's Lautala Bagachrha Bridge on Friday morning. Kaliganj police OC Anowar Hossain identified the victim as Nur Islam of Kotchandpur Upazila. He said the victims were travelling on the 'nasiman' (locally assembled three-wheeler). The Chuadanga-bound bus sped away after the accident. OC Hossain said the injured had been sent to the Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex and Jessore hospital, according to bdnews24.com.
