One gets death sentence in Kushtia

KUSHTIA, Apr 9: A man convicted of killing his wife was awarded death sentenced in the district Thursday. According to court sources the judge Akbar Ali Mridha delivered the verdict after cross examination of witnesses. The prosecution story said the wife of Manik Mollah of village Dhakkin Bhabanipur under Kumarkhali upazilla strangled his wife to death for dowry on September 6, 2007. Father of Rashida Khatun (18) Ahmed Sheikh filed a case with Kumarhkali police in this regard.
