One held with 16 gold bars at Benapole

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested one person along with 16 gold bars, weighing 1.6kg, at Benapole land port area on Tuesday.
The arrestee was identified as Hanif Ali, 35, of Gatipara village in Sharsha upazila of Jessore district.
Tipped off, a team of BGB-26 intercepted Hanif while entering the country from India around 11 am and recovered the 16 gold bars, kept in the soles of his shoes, Lieutenant Colonel Jahangir Hossain, commanding officer of the BGB battalion, told UNB.
Later, the BGB members arrested him. A case was filed in this regard.
