One held with 39,000 Yaba tablets in city

Police Thursday arrested a suspected drug peddler along with 39,000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets from Sutrapur in the old city, reports BSS.
"We arrested one Sabbir Hossain alias Sabbir and seized 39,000 pieces of yaba tablets from in front of Bibika Shrine at 11, B.K Das Road, Farashganj under Sutrapur Police Station," a police official said.
Sabbir was coming to Shyambazar area of Sutrapur from Cox's Bazar by a black coloured motorcycle with the cache of yaba tablet, he also said, adding that the arrestee confessed his link to yaba trading. A case was lodged to this end.
