One held with 4kg gold at HSIA

The armed police battalion (APB) arrested one person on Friday with 4.0-kg gold at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA). The APB arrested Mizanur Rahman (40) from the canopy hall of the airport around 11:30 am on the day. Mizan arrived in Dhaka from Malaysia by the Malaysian Airlines flight MH-102. He managed to get out of the airport through the green channel after completing immigration formalities. As the armed police battalion asked him to halt, he did not respond and tried to escape, but failed, according to the APB. "He is now in our custody. Legal action will be taken against him," senior assistant superintendent of the airport APB Md Alamgir Hossain said. — FE Report
