One held with firearm in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, Oct 29 (UNB): Police arrested a man along with a firearm and two rounds of bullet from his house at Sonakur village in Rampal upazila in Bagerhat on Saturday early morning. The arrestee was identified as Mahazir Sheikh, 38, son of Waheed Sheikh of the village. Rampal thana OC Shahinul Islam said acting on secret information a team of police launched a drive at Mahazir's house and arrested him. Later, on the basis of his confession, police recovered a home made gun and 2 rounds of bullet from under the ground. A case was filed against him under Arms Act.
