One held with Indian Rs 5.0m at airport

Customs officials Saturday morning arrested a Bangladeshi youth with 5.0 million Indian Rupee from the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. The arrestee was identified as Mohammad Idris, 35, son of Abul Khayer of Sreepur village under Fulgazi upazila of Feni district. "We found the Indian currencies in the luggage of Idris by scanning it while he was coming out of the airport around 11:00am," said Nahida Akhter, deputy director of customs intelligence. There were notes of 500 and 1000 denominations, she said. — BSS
