One held with pistol,bullets in N\\\'ganj

NARAYANGANJ, Dec 26 (UNB): Members of Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested an alleged arms trader in possession of a foreign-made pistol, one magazine and five rounds of bullet from Dharmatala Road in Khanpur area of the city early Friday.
The arrestee was identified as Mir Rasel, son of Mir Anwar Hossain, a resident of Natun Hajiganj ACI Panir Kal area of Siddhirganj.
Mazharul Islam, sub-inspector of district DB police, said on secret information, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Rasel in the dead of night.
They also recovered a foreign-made pistol, one magazine and five rounds of bullet from his possession.
A case was filed in this connection.
Another report adds: A mobile court here on Thursday sentenced two young men to six months' imprisonment each for taking and peddling drugs.
The convicts were identified as Alamgir Hossain,26, son of Samiullah, and Al Amin,25, son of Ali Jabbar, both residents of Rasulbagh area in Siddhirgaj.
